ELDORADO CANYON GHOST MINES...This adventure takes you to what was the richest gold and silver
district in Nevada.
A population of 500 rowdy miners worked this area, many reported to be deserters from the Civil War. Gunfights and feuds over gold
and
women were a regular way of life in this lawless community.
 A
visit to the old Tichatticup Mill Site
where the gold ore was turned into
ingots will give you a true sense of the
times and a taste of the wild west
history that was once fueled by the
fever of finding gold.
Take the optional guided tour if you
dare and enter into the oldest and most famous gold mine in Southern Nevada, traverse 500 feet deep into the side of the mountain. See where
the miners chased their dreams of
finding the mother load of gold &
silver.
With 20 scheduled photo stops on this adventure, you will see countless mines, remains of buildings and equipment; and of course, incredible scenery.
There is also the possibility of sighting resident wild life such as bighorn sheep and burros.
